Who We Are

Generation of Excellence Trendsetters is a community-based organization dedicated to uplifting, educating, and empowering individuals in modernized communities. We provide tools and resources to address barriers while promoting longevity for generations to come.

Our Approach:
We use a person-centered approach, meeting individuals where they are and tailoring services to their unique needs. Our focus includes supporting individuals with disabilities, returning citizens, and justice-impacted adults and youth.

We’re not just Prenatal Care.

We offer a range of personalized and affordable options for mothers-to-be, including prenatal classes to make sure you know what’s coming and the best ways to approach it. We offer a variety personal education classes to empower the our community to better themselves through education. Whether your pregnancy is planned or unplanned, we’re here to treat you with dignity and respect.

At the helm of Trendsetters is Dr. LaTonya Baker, a visionary leader whose ability to create and lead professional teams has made a lasting impact on Milwaukee. Dr. Baker has developed systems and programs to address barriers for justice-impacted individuals while fostering community advocacy and delivering resources that change lives.

Training Programs for Returning Citizens & Justice-Impacted Populations:

Our comprehensive training for the DVR program focuses on skill-building for individuals with disabilities, returning citizens, and justice-impacted populations. Core training includes:

  • Job Readiness Skills
  • Financial Literacy
  • Leadership Training
  • Basic Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Email
  • Social Media Etiquette and Marketing
  • Socialization and Motivational Interviewing Techniques

Job Placement Steps:

  1. Skills assessment and matching with employer needs.
  2. Resume preparation and interview coaching.
  3. Networking with employer partners.
  4. Ongoing support post-placement.
